“The asbury book cooperative(abc)is a volunteer-driven, independent bookstore in asbury park,new jersey. We promote literacy, provide acess to books for all,and create a welcoming gathering space for the arts.we host hundreds of free community events -from book clubs and author readings to preformances by talented local musicians and artists. Our mission extends beyond books; we aim to foster a sense of belonging and creativity in our community.in collaboration with local schools and nonprofit organizations,abc volunteers are dedicated to expanding acess to books for everyone,especially children. Through our annual holiday book donation drive and partnership with the asbury park's backpack program, we are working hard to put books in the hands of young readers. We sustain our efforts through the sale of new and used books, and more importantly, through the generous support of our members and donors who share our passion for independent bookstores and believe in the strength of community.”
