IRS990ScheduleL/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt0As of December 31, 2024, Fundación Emprendedores de Luz, Inc. reported $107,076 in outstanding internal, interest-free loans made by the CEO, board members, and allied collaborators. These funds were provided voluntarily and without compensation to cover essential operational and programmatic activities in a year of limited external funding. All loans were approved by the board of directors and internally documented, with no portion forgiven or converted into donations. The organization treats these loans as liabilities and will address repayment through future board resolutions, contingent on available funding. There is no private benefit, conflict of interest, or personal gain involved in any transaction. This financial structure has allowed the foundation to maintain operations, expand impact, and fulfill its exempt purpose during a financially challenging year. Furthermore, the foundation is grounded in the study of human behavior. During its initial years, significant resources were dedicated to understanding migration, building community networks, and conducting social research. These efforts have positioned us at the forefront of developing an internal education system that addresses intergenerational trauma and promotes social mobility. Our programs are designed not only to educate but to transform realities, integrating emotional, cultural, and structural components to strengthen community leadership and sustainability.
