“The mission is to mobilize resources within and outside the recovery community to increase the prevalence and quality of long-term recovery from alcohol and other drug dependency in georgia by increasing recovery capital, with a priority in macon, then throughout georgia. Community recovery capital is defined as the total pool of resources that can be brought to equip each community to initiate and sustain recovery from severe and complex alcohol and other drug problems and to enhance the quality of life of individuals and families in recovery.”

“A) putting forth positive faces and voices as living proof of the transformative power of recovery to decrease the misperception and stigma commonly associated with substance use disorders; b) emphasizing leadership development and teaching advocacy skills within the recovery community as a part of taking personal responsibility for one's citizenship; c)public education and outreach efforts; and creating and sustaining synergy between the recovery community and the community at large, peer support recovery coaching, housing, transportation, vocational training, employment services, telephone support, support groups, system navigation, recovery resource dissemination, life skills training and sober social activities.”
