“One Way Love Inc is filing this amended Form 990 for tax year 2022 to correct accounting errors identified during a financial review by new management. Principal corrections: Pledges receivable corrected from $207,235 to $0 Total assets corrected from $313,167 to $105,932 Net assets corrected from $313,167 to $105,932 Explanation of adjustment: The $207,235 reduction in reported net assets resulted from the correction of an accounting error in recording contributions. The organizations fundraising platform integration had been reporting contributions as "undeposited funds" which were incorrectly recorded as pledges receivable rather than as contributions received. This error artificially inflated the organizations reported assets on the original return. Upon reconciliation of bank statements with actual contribution records the organization determined that these amounts had already been received and deposited eliminating the erroneous receivables balance. Corrective actions taken: Complete reconciliation of all bank accounts to contribution records Implementation of monthly bank reconciliation procedures Engagement of new accounting professionals with nonprofit expertise Enhanced integration between fundraising systems and accounting records Establishment of internal review procedures for financial reporting The amended return now accurately reflects the organizations 2022 financial position and activities”
