Our value system is to provide our community and families with the basic needs to help support our children and youth through maintaining our mission. We promote self-respect and self-integrity while striving for excellence in all areas that meet the needs of our community. Our vision is to ensure that all youth struggling with behavioral and mental health challenges can grow to become successful individuals by providing emergency shelter transitional support child advocacy counseling parental support mentorship apprenticeship community health workers and physical education. Caring Does Justice has provided 298 underserved individuals with training education apprenticeship and counseling services where 78% gained employment. We were able to help 75 at-risk youth with counseling mentorship mental health referrals training and pre-apprenticeship services.

CDJ Community Health Workers Training Program aims in training individuals ages 16 and up through an apprenticeship program or a base Community Health Workers Program based on 160 Hours of 8 Core Competencies of Healthcare by Health & Human Services. CDJ Community Health Workers Program has trained approximately 98 underserved individuals as community health workers 25% are considered youth and 17% have completed the training program while the remaining continue to complete courses. Once all course is completed they will obtain a certificate of completion and obtain a Community HealthWorks License through the Texas Department of Health & Human Services.$5,496$19,268
CDJ Youth Supportive Services Program aims to assist at-risk youth or adolescents who are in crisis by providing them with crisis intervention prevention and re-entry methods by offering transitional support suicide prevention strategies and pre-apprenticeship advisement. The YSS Program aims to prevent a generation of socially disconnected at-risk youth and in contrast provides parental supervision within a safe covid free establishment with preventive programs. The YSS Program has had approximately 34 enrollments with 16% of the enrollees being about to build on their characters mentally socially and academically and show improvements in school. The remaining youth enrollees are still receiving additional services to assist them with improving their character toward becoming successful.$8,351$0
CDJ Outreach Community Development To Recover Program aims to provide year-round supportive services to households within the community. This program supports and assists families during the holidays. We conduct back-to-school drives health care fairs Fall Festivals Turkey Giveaways and Christmas toys for families. We were able to serve approximately 398 for the back-to-school drive 300 youth received toys and out of that 75 of those youth were able to get free haircuts. During our Turkey Giveaway 30 families were able to receive Turkey Baskets and for our Toy Drive we were able to give 150 families toys and donate toys to a local Elementary School.$1,514$0
CDJ Adult & Senior Supportive Services Program aims to assist adults who are facing financial hardship re-entry services employment placement services apprenticeship training domestic violence prevention services and mental health services. CDJ Adult & Senior Supportive Services Program aims to assist seniors who are unable to meet their household needs by providing them with a food pantry household goods and other support services as needed. CDJ ASSSP Program has had approximately 326 underserved individuals enrolled in the program where 25% needed assistance with domestic violence services and 30% needed assistance with re-entry training and employment services. We had 36 % of the 326 individuals need to assist with mental health services while 9% of the individuals were considered seniors who signed up for food pantries and household goods.$171$0
