IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE BYLAWS, Unified Government of Wyandotte County has THE POWER TO ELECT MEMBERS OF THE GOVERNING BODY.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 11B Review of form 990 by governing body

An independent accounting firm prepares and reviews the form 990. The independent accounting firm then provides the organization's accounting personnel and officer signing the return a draft of the form 990 for comments and approval. A full copy of the form 990 is then provided to the board of directors prior to filing.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 12C Conflict of interest policy

Each director, both prior to his or her election, and then annually thereafter, shall sign and submit a statement to the secretary of the board which identifies, to the best of such director's knowledge, any entity of which such director is an officer, director, trustee, member, owner (either as a sole proprietor or a partner), or employee and with which the corporation has a relationship, and any transaction in which the corporation is a participant and in which the director might have a conflicting interest. The secretary of the board shall provide a copy of all completed statements to the chair of the audit committee or, if there is no audit committee, the chair of the board.
