All 3rd decade board of director members are covered by the conflict of interest policy. All board members signed and agreed to the conflict of interest policy before being accepted. Every member has a duty to disclose any conflicts. After the interested person discloses their potential conflict to the board, they must leave the room while the remaining disinterested board members review and vote on the potential conflict. If it is determined that there is a conflict, the remaining disinterested board members will vote to determine whether the potential agreement or transaction is in the best interest of the 3rd decade.

The organization hired a new executive director in 2022. His initial compensation package was based on his experience and using asu lodestar data for comparable organizations of our size. His compensation was reviewed, with input from the board and staff, at the 120 day mark and adjusted based on actual performance.
