“The purpose of the organization is to provide cultural awareness, personal growth education and social supportive services for communities living in adversity. We strive to support individuals in becoming contributing members of society, while maintaining their culture and ethnic identity.”

“Social support services: senior: being new to this country and very limited with transportation as well as having a language barrier it's important for seniors to gather and be involved in group activities. Through monthly bingo night, annual trips and community work we are able to assist seniors who are feeling isolated. Domestic: creating a culturally sensitive support system for new americans as well as those that are limited in english is essential. We support community members navigating through the social system and get the support they need.”

“Personal / business growth: women's luncheon: because of the shortage of business women and entrepreneurs from the south asian community we organize an annual luncheon to help women network with other professionals. We also team up with other organizations to provide training when it comes to business start-up, marketing, technology, and bookkeeping, etc. Through this training the women also get a chance to apply for grants for their businesses. Hidden wealth social: the accomplishment for the social was we connected many punjabi businesses. It was also a way to give thanks to all of our sponsors and community members who have supported us through our many endeavours. Drug awareness workshop: we work with local businesses whose workforce consists mainly of south asian community members who speak punjabi/hindi/urdo/english. To help educate the community on drugs and better bonding with their children we put on drug awareness workshops in punjabi. This helps create a safe, culturally sensetive way for the information to be discussed and absorbed.”

“Cultural awareness: fundraisers: we have been able to organize community fund raisers such as holi color festival and boolathon in order to raise funds as well as share culture with our community members.”
