“Preparation of the annual foundation for women's leadership & empowerment ("fwle") form 990 encompasses the following steps: 1) compilation of specified financial information by fwle and its bookkeeping service, in consultation with the foundation's independent accountant; 2) compilation of specified non-financial information by fwle president; 3) review of all draft financial and non-financial information by fwle president; 4)submission of financial and non-financial information to fwle's independent accountant for review; 5) follow-up consultation among independent accountant, and fwle president and bookkeepers; 6)consultation with the foundation's board of directors regarding the draft form 990 and 7) final consultation of fwle president and bookkeepers as necessary with independent accountant for incorporation of any corrections or revisions, final approval and signature for filing with the irs. A copy of the form 990 is distributed to all members of the board of directors each year and a copy will be made available on fwle's computer network system for review.”
“The conflict of interest policy was adopted at the very outset of the founding of fwle as a part of the organizational filing with the state of nevada, along with the by-laws. The bylaws and this policy were authorized by all members of the board as a part of the initial filing process. Hence, all board members were on notice from the very beginning and committed to comply with the articles, bylaws and conflict of interest policy of the foundation. Moreover, at the october 26, 2019 board of directors meeting, the president of the foundation reviewed with the board members their responsibilities as board members, which included a discussion of the conflict of interest policy that was adopted. Part of that discussion pointed out each director's duty of disclosure and recusal in the event of a conflict of interest. At the june 4, 2020 meeting of the board of directors, the board adopted and reviewed a revised and expanded conflict of interest policy to reflect various specific best practices reflected in nonprofit guidance references and submitted signed forms acknowledging review and recommitment to the foundation's conflict of interest policy. Since 2020 the conflict of interest policy has been the subject of discussion at fwle's annual meetings and signed acknowledgment.”
“Ceo compensation determined by the board.”
“Members of the board of directors are uncompensated. Key employee compensation to be determined by the president and the board.”
“Governing documents relating to the foundation will be made available to the general public upon request.”

Our aspirational goals are multi-dimensional: empower: inspire and motivate women and men to transcend the traditional boundaries imposed upon them - whether internal or external, and expand their self-confidence, self-determination and capacity to reach their highest level of personal and professional excellence. Educate: produce accessible leadership/empowerment conferences and other types of programs curated to educate and train women and men in the core competencies and skills essential to leadership, self-determination, self- advocacy, career planning and career progression -including focus on the distinct challenges women and men of color confront, and success strategies to overcome the same. Advocate: support the united nation's sustainable development goal 5 to end discrimination and achieve gender equality for all women and girls - through advocacy and performance of the mission of fwle. Donate: give philanthropic support to other nonprofit organizations, programs or initiatives that are dedicated to the development and welfare of women and girls - to the extent practicable and within fwle's financial resources.”
“The women's leadership conference the women's leadership conference ("wlc"). The mission of the foundation for women's leadership & empowerment's ("fwle") is to empower, educate, and develop all leaders - of all profiles and all levels - in the essential competencies of leadership excellence to expand the ranks of leadership to reflect our society, and foster inclusive, equitable, and thriving workplaces and communities. Our mission is rooted in our beliefs that 1) participation in leadership, power, and influence to reflect our society must include women and other diverse talent as well as men; 2) inclusiveness is fundamental to maximizing performance, resilience, and value creation in all of america's workplaces and institutions - regardless of the nature of the organization; and 3) stronger, sustainable organizations are integral to stronger, sustainable communities for the future of america. To promote genuine equal opportunity for all american leaders requires equal access by all to education and development. Our education vehicles are designed to provide empowering professional content grounded in thought leadership, innovative programming, and collaborative engagement to elevate leadership expertise, business acumen and excellence among existing and developing leaders. That is what fwle's signature program - the women's leadership conference (wlc) - aims to accomplish. Fwle assumed the role of owner and producer of the pre-existing annual wlc pursuant to a charitable donation from the mgm resorts foundation effective as of december 31, 2019. At the time of the transfer wlc had already been established as one of the premier, if not the premier, leadership development conferences in the western united states for women. Since then, fwle has solidified wlc's reputation as the 1 ranked women's leadership conference in las vegas nv. Fwle seeks to expand the social and business impact of wlc to a broader platform of developmental programming, beyond wlc and beyond nevada, for education of women leaders. Since 2019 - against the headwinds of the pandemic, its turbulent aftermath, and greater economic uncertainty - wlc has continued to provide a diverse community of professionals with a singular combination of elements that inspire them to aspirational leadership and higher development, educate them in essential leadership competencies, and facilitate the crucial art of relationship networking. Fwle has continued to fortify wlc's education offerings. Our 2024 wlc - which convened 744 total registrants - presented the 17th annual edition of wlc - featuring the below elements that have become emblematic of the wlc experience: main stage presentations by keynote speakers/panels who are acclaimed cross-industry role models from all levels of leadership. 2024 wlc's main stage speakers addressed the topics of mastering confidence for success (selena rezvani), science-based methods to master change anxiety (dr. Luana marques), and building trust as the foundation of work culture (justin patton). In addition to its keynote speakers, 2024 wlc continued a new program segment featuring a moderated roundtable discussion among four (4) women presidents & ceos from a cross-section of major american corporations. 2024 also held 1) a separate panel discussion among four (4) women entrepreneurs who own and lead business enterprises - since women- owned businesses (wbes) are now recognized as drivers of u.s. Economic growth; and a well-known 2024 wells fargo bank economic study showed that 39% of all u.s. Businesses were wbes employing more than 12 million workers and generating 2 trillion in revenue; and 2) a fireside chat with a dynamic woman who is an artificial intelligence company ceo, entrepreneur, investor, and board member. Multi-faceted education sessions/workshops led by subject matter experts. Our education sessions, which teach leadership competencies and skills and explore real-life leadership challenges, were presented across three”
“Aspiring women iv webinar series in 2024 fwle produced "aspiring women series iv: presented by fwle", the foundation's virtual program. This webinar series is founded on two basic premises: that today's leaders have a thirst for continuous learning beyond our two-day women's leadership conference ("wlc") - as efficacious as wlc may be, and a broader audience can potentially be reached through a virtual platform. Aspiring women iv achieved 1,169 total unique registrants (i.e., registered for at least one session) across six (6) one- hour sessions, demonstrating the desire of leaders for continuous learning. Like wlc, our aspiring women series examines leadership topics that are designed to build skills and strategies to meet practical challenges that 21st century leaders confront - women, women of color, and men alike. Our 2024 curriculum included: "is there a hole in your bucket list? How to overcome obstacles that keep you from achieving your goals" session 1 o "elevate your impact: the art of strategic delegation: unlocking productivity, relieving stress, and finding focus at work and in life" session 2 o "empowering resilience: transforming anxiety into leadership strength for women" session 3 o "giving & receiving feedback" session 4 o "positive communication for leaders: part 1" session 5 o "positive communication for leaders: part 2" session 6 the following survey responses are representative of the overwhelmingly positive comments our aspiring women iv sessions received: -"thank you for putting these programs together. Please continue inspiring us all" regarding session 1 -"i've already recommended the sessions to my colleagues and friends." regarding session 2 -"this message hit spot on for me in my life at the moment. I feel so much more encouraged after attending and appreciate the handout that i can use for future challenges that i face - it gives me time and tools to help process through my anxiety (with work and home life). Thank you" regarding session 3 -"once again, another very relevant topic for not only upcoming leadership talent but existing leadership." regarding session 4 -"this content was great as were the presenters. They used examples as demonstration, they were interactive, and upbeat. It was a pleasure to attend and beneficial." regarding session 5 -"it felt like i was participating in a podcast. Very professional and great ideas/tools provided. Great job" regarding session 6”

GREAT JOB" REGARDING SESSION 6 |
