“Rock the capital ("rtc"), is a nonpartisan, good government organization formed after the illegal legislative pay raise in 2005. Rock the capital has brought to light corruption in government, worked to reduce the legislature's slush funds, and played a central role in exposing taxpayer abuse at the liquor control board, pennsylvania higher education assistance agency, and the pennsylvania turnpike commission. Rtc advocates for fair and competitive contracts as well as full compliance with the open records and sunshine laws. Enclosed please find the authorities, boards and commissions ("abcs") rock the capital monitors. The abc's are populated by political appointees who dole out millions of dollars in contracts. They are not immune from political influence, and often operate without public oversight.”
