“To be an advisory committee to the teller county sheriff's office (tcso) and a fundraising entity. To assist in fundraising to enhance the safety and quality of work for the tcso personnel/volunteers, to provide advice and counsel for matters of safety to teller county citizens, to provide an advocacy role for tcso with the community.”

“The shop with a hero event is the largest public assistance program in teller county, and the organization were able to help their highest number of children. The sheriff's office open house was a great success with a record number of people attending. Our coat collection and food drive with the fire departments and the toy drive were all big events due to the increased need in the community. The year's golf tournament fund raiser was a record fundraiser, and we also hosted a first responders golf tournament later in the year. For the first time, we held a donor dinner fundraiser. We auctioned off a donated atv and other auction items. We sold tickets to community members and gave hdsa donors and sponsers free tickets to attend. Again, one of the most important events was law enforcement week because it had been a tough couple of years for law enforcement. The huge showing of individuals for the event and the support of all those who attended from teller county made all the deputies very appreciative as well as the members of law enforcement who attended from the surrounding area. It was a great event this year. We were able to raise the money to purchase night force optics, training mats and gear, and individual first aid kits for our deputies. The hdsa also purchases all the uniforms for the new posse and reserve members who assist in many of the events in teller county.”
