Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4A

Disaster relief services disaster relief services include all on-site disaster responses throughout the united states. This program takes priority over all other services and is most often unscheduled and unplanned, as that is the nature of disasters. The code 3 associates mobile command center (an 82-foot 33 ton tractor trailer designed for emergency response to a zero resource environment) and our team is available to assist agencies needing assistance in the rescue and care of animals affected by natural disasters. Code 3's mobile command center is also available for disaster preparedness training when it is not performing disaster relief services. When the command center is not on-site assisting local officials with animal rescue in times of disaster, it is used to educate participants in regional and national conferences in the area of disaster preparedness.

Educational programs disaster preparedness training disaster preparedness training comes in many forms and is normally tailored to the group requesting the training. Sessions range from two hours to five days depending on the needs of the participants. The information received will help the participant mentally and physically prepare themselves, their families, their friends and their coworkers for any possible disasters that may happen. These classes create an awareness of potential situations, related dangers and ways to prepare for those situations. Students are taught to prepare personal disaster plans for their homes and families as well as for their animals. Equine investigations academy levels i and ii is a 48 hour certified course designed for animal welfare and law enforcement as well as other animal related personnel. This academy is certified through colorado state university. This course teaches the participant to recognize and combat animal abuse as it applies to horses. The class is 50% classroom lectures and 50% hands-on activities with horses, allowing students to actually practice the skills learned in the classroom. Upon completion of the course, the participant can demonstrate a level of competency both physically with the animal as well as with investigative skills. They are able to respond to equine abuse calls, thoroughly investigate and develop the case, and put it together for successful prosecution. This is a unique in-residence intensive training program that boasts outstanding faculty. Every faculty member has years of hands-on field experience as well as teaching experience and donates their time to this academy. Each academy is held once per year, with classes held at a ranch in southwestern colorado. There is no other school in this country that equals this academy. Animal disaster response training - this field focused training branch, most commonly known as animal disaster response training, is designed to offer both awareness and operations level training to professionals that want to meet the fema resource typing guidelines for animal control officers, and animal search and rescue technicians. These courses are designed for federal, state and local disaster officers and volunteers who respond to the needs of animals during manmade and natural disasters. These courses give instruction on working with companion animals, livestock and exotic animals in a safe manner. The topics covered include work in fire, flood water, rope rescue, hazardous materials, biosecurity situations, animal sheltering as well as personal and team safety. The majority of these courses are certified in partnership with colorado state university. Essential animal services training - this academy provides a multi-tiered learning experience that focuses on in-person practical training. This curriculum provides law enforcement and animal welfare/animal control personnel with training that equips them with the tools needed, not only for duties in animal control, but also animal cruelty investigations. The program, consisting of 120 hours total, will provide instruction in most aspects of animal control and animal cruelty investigations. All three levels of this academy are certified in partnership with colorado state university. Fire training - the animal fire training evacuation and rescue course is comprised of animal emergency management issues focusing on urban interface during wildland fire events. Instruction includes relevant studies from s- 190 introduction to wildland fire behavior and s-130 firefighter training. Participants will examine the challenges related to animal evacuation and response considerations for both small and large animals. This training includes practical scenario exercises and discussions pertaining to hazard mitigation and situational awareness. This course is developed to enhance firefighter skill sets as well as providing animal emergency responders the ability to better integrate with primary
