The mission of Bright by Three is to provide a bright beginning for children by helping families support their children's physical, emotional, and intellectual development during the critical first three years of life.

“The 990 is first reviewed by the Executive Director and contract Accountant. It is then forwarded to the Finance Committee and full Board for review. The Finance Committee makes a motion to approve the 990 which is to put to a full board vote.”

“The executive committee of the Board of Directors conducts an annual review of the Executive Director. As part of that process they consider the current compensation of the Executive Director, weigh the performance and use tools like the Colorado Nonprofit Association's Salary and Benefits survey to ensure that the compensation is fair and competitive with similar nonprofit organizations of similar size, budget and focus in the Denver area. The Executive Committee then reports to the full Board with a recommendation about the next year's compensation.”

Part X : FIN48 Footnote

“Bright Beginnings is exempt from Federal and State income taxation on its exempt purpose income under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)3. Accordingly, no provision for income taxes is included in the accompanying financial statements as there was not unrelated taxable income in the year ended December 31, 2017. Management does not believe the Organization has any material uncertain tax positions requiring disclosure.”

IRS990/Desc0Bright by Three provides free programs in both English and Spanish for parents and caregivers with children under three years old. The Bright by Three program contains accurate, research-based information, tools, and resources to help parents and caregivers give their child the best start in life. Volunteers and staff meet parents and caregivers at home, at work, at the pediatrician's office, in groups or at any community setting of their choice. Often, Bright by Three partners with community agencies to offer our programs in all 64 Colorado counties. Parents and caregivers throughout the United States can also sign up for Bright by Text, which sends 3-5 weekly text messages to parents and caregivers containing bite-sized nudges and activities timed to the developmental stage of their child.
