Form 990, Part III

At miners alley playhouse, theatre is for everyone, and it has the power to bring everyone together. Since 1993, the company has been providing excellent professional theatre in a unique close-up setting, where audiences are immersed in the story unfolding right around them. In 2021, miners alley playhouse began its second act, purchasing the beloved meyer hardware building in the heart of downtown golden for 4,950,000, with public and private coalitions including the golden downtown development authority, the golden civic foundation, and on tap credit union. In 2023, in a 4,500,000 renovation, the building was transformed into the miners alley performing arts center, continuing the tradition of the building serving as a community hub. In this new space, the miners alley theatre company is expanding its ability to provide the colorado front range communities with world-class experiences: serving a wider range of students in the be brave education program, providing spaces for community events and receptions, and producing the highest-quality professional theatre all while continuing the sense of intimacy in the space. Where there are never more than six rows between the edge of the stage and the edge of your seat. Where fans can have a big night out with stars, and always feel at home. The new miners alley performing arts center is resetting expectations of what a small theater can do - and what it can be. Children's theatre and recitals, receptions and community events, meeting spaces and workshops continue to draw people to downtown golden. This is the second act. A dramatic reimagining of how the performing arts and the public can interact, bringing new value to old venues and renewed spirit to a vibrant community.
