The draft version is reviewed by the senior vice president, then reviewed and approved by the finance/audit committee and president/ceo after a review meeting. The document is then emailed to the full board of directors who are given one week to respond with comments or questions. Barring any changes during this process, the 990 is filed.

The president/ceo and all board members are covered by a written conflict of interest policy. Each board member signs an annual affadavit regarding knowledge of the policy details and their own compliance with it. For board members, any actual conflicts are reviewed by the executive committee. For the president/ceo, the matter is referred to the board of directors for a final determination of action required.
