“All members of Lions Clubs in Colorado and Wyoming who are in good standing with Lions Clubs International are automatically members of RMLEIF.”

“The Trustees of RMLEIF are elected by the members of Lions Clubs International in their respective Colorado or Wyoming districts to a three year term, with a two consecutive term limit, but are eligible for re-election to another term after a two year interruption. If a Trustee leaves office before conclusion of his or her term, or the Trustee position is open for another reason, the Governor of the Lions in that Trustee's district appoints a replacement Trustee for the remainder of the term.”

“In accord with RMLEIF's bylaws, the Finance Committee ensures that all required reports are filed with the Internal Revenue Service and makes the forms available for the Board of Trustees (RMLEIF's governing body) to review. This Form 990 was prepared by the Treasurer and reviewed in detail by the Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer prior to filing. A complete copy of the final Form 990 was sent via email to all Trustees prior to filing.”

“RMLEIF Trustees, Officers, and Advisors must review and sign RMLEIF's Conflict of Interest policy each year, which emphasizes the importance of the policy to everyone and refreshes knowledge of the policy. Potential conflicts of interest can arise when RMLEIF selects a vendor to produce its annual letter, which is mailed to Lions Club Members in Colorado and Wyoming. Whenever RMLEIF solicits bids for this work and receives a bid from a vendor who is associated with a Lions Club, the foundation carefully adheres to provisions in our Conflict of Interest policy.”

“RMLEIF posts the following documents on its website (www.RMLEIF.org): Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, Conflict of interest policy, Whistleblower policy, Application for 501(c)(3) classification, IRS Tax determination letters, recent Forms 990, and financial statements.”

“In 2023 the Foundation provided $3000 and 25 volunteers to assist at Vision2023Denver, an international conference on low-vision and blindness that will not be repeated for several years. In 2023 the Foundation provided $750 to Local Lions Clubs to support their vision programs. We did not provide similar assistance in 2024.”
