“The salaries for the president, vice presidents and other high ranking employees are set by the board in conjunction with the hr department and president. Board members involved will usually include the chairman of the board, the chair of the budget and finance committee, and members of the executive committee of the board. Hr uses cupa (college and university personnel association) to get comparable salary information for similar positions at schools with similar size and revenue. The deliberations and decisions are documented in the board minutes.”
