Signed forms are collected at the annual meeting and opera colorado follows up with any absent board members to collect the acknowledgment form. Conflict of interest policies and statements of acknowledgment are also distributed to and collected from officers and key employees annually.”

The general director's compensation is set using a benchmark analysis to other non-profit organizations and opera companies similar in size for this position. The general director's compensation is contractual and is usually set for a period of at least 3 years. Other key employee compensation is determined by the general director as part of the budgeting process and is set using a benchmark analysis to other non-profit organizations and opera companies of similar size and determined by employee job duties and experience. Each employee is given an annual performance review at the conclusion of the fiscal year and any changes in compensation are made at this time.”
