“There are three classifications of membership: voting member, nonvoting member, and associate member. Voting members - properly constituted and affiliated non-profit soccer clubs in good standing with the association. Nonvoting members - individual players, coaches, referees, parents and administrators are nonvoting members of the association through their affiliation with a properly constituted voting member or as officers, directors, or committee chairmen of the association. Associate members - other organizations or individuals devoted to or who have programs devoted to soccer, but not voting members affiliate members, or other affiliate members. Associate members will have nonvoting status but will be entitled to the services offered by the association under conditions determined by the board of directors.”

“Per the organization's bylaws, csa and its member organizations shall have the board of directors selected through an open and democratic election process. All member organizations must have a voting membership.”

“Actions and policies adopted by the board of directors or executive committee of csa shall be reported to its member organizations, who have the right to prompt and equitable hearing procedures.”

“The form 990 is made available to the governing body prior to filing.”

“Officers and staff meet as needed to review any potential issues and/or conflicts.”

“Compensation review includes looking at comparable data of similar positions in regional, state and local areas. The executive committee recommends salary increases or adjustments.”

“The entire board of directors approves compensation via the budget process.”

“Governing documents are available to the public upon request.”

“Mission statement: colorado soccer association (csa) is a non-profit educational and service organization with the mission to promote, facilitate and nurture the growth of soccer throughout colorado. Csa honors the game by providing critical infrastructure and promoting sportsmanship and fair play in a safe and enjoyable environment.”

“Coaching: to provide coaching education and coaching license pathways to club/league coaches within the state of colorado. As a member of us soccer, csa offers a variety of courses within the grassroots pathway of the coaching license pathway. Csa also offers a variety of diplomas, each focused on a different aspect of the game. Adults: to register adult players and provide the opportunity to continue playing within sanctioned leagues. Csa is affiliated and sanctioned by us adult soccer association, which operates as part of the us soccer federation. Csa runs adult tournaments and adult leagues across the state of colorado. Adult divisions are based upon playing ability, location, and playing size. Tournaments (cups): csa sanctions tournaments in colorado for its 60+ member clubs. In addition, csa hosts a variety of tournaments throughout colorado, including the state cup and presidents cup, which provide ongoing competition for both youth and adult participants. Other programs include the top soccer program, fort logan field, and field grants.”
