Acra strives to embody aspen's 'defy ordinary' mentality by providing programs and incentives that help our members to prosper. Since its creation in the 1970's, acra has worked to create and support an environment for aspen to thrive. Our mission is to attract visitors to the resort, foster a dynamic aspen experience and provide valuable member benefits to support a sustainable local economy.our membership of 700+ organizations represents 75 percent of the local workforce, with members coming from throughout the roaring fork valley and beyond.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

“Acra follows fasc 740, income taxes, which clarifies the accounting for uncertainty in income taxes recognized in the financial statements. Fasc 740 requires the use of a two-step approach for recognizing and measuring tax positions taken or expected to be taken in a tax return. First, a tax position should only be recognized when it is more likely than not, based on technical merits, that the position will be sustained upon examination by the taxing authority. Second, a tax position that meets the recognition threshold should be measured at the largest amount that has a greater than 50 percent likelihood of being sustained. Acra had no material unrecognized tax benefits for the year ended december 31, 2024. As a result, no interest or penalties were accrued for unrecognized tax benefits during the year.”
