Program Services

DescriptionGrantsExpenses
Safe Shelter provided rental and mortgage assistance to 20 families who were unable to pay their housing costs. By preventing evictions and keeping families housed, students were able to continue their educations, have a warm place to live, eat, play, sleep and do homework, critical components of school success.$0$54,773
Safe Shelter provided a variety of basic needs for families under the umbrella of the Diversion Services program. Examples include utility bills, propane for heating, gas to get to work, work clothing, a small refrigerator, etc. Some of these items were donated, others subsidized by donors, others out of our budget. All items were to help families keep going! In addition Safe Shelter sponsored a back-to-school Clothing Swap & Giveaway during which 251 students got clothes, hygiene products and school supplies. This was possible thanks to generous donations from community members.$0$5,064
Safe Shelter provided funds for families in crisis under the Crisis Lodging program. These funds paid for camping, RV spaces or cabins for 5 homeless families for a 2-week period, to give them a little time to find more permanent housing. This program greatly reduced the stress on families and gave them temporary shelter.$0$2,154
