Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4A

Local veggie baskets our local veggie basket program delivers the best of wyoming's growing season directly to our community. We offer three seasons of baskets - spring greens, summer, and fall harvest baskets - with fresh produce, local meat, honey, and eggs. Free baskets, including kitchen utensils and recipes, are available to families using snap or wic benefits, and discounted baskets are offered to those families who don't qualify for federal assistance but fall below wyoming's self-sufficiency standard. We also have a limited number of retail baskets for sale to any member of our community who wants to enjoy local produce. In 2024, 20 different snap/wic families received free baskets and 2 low to moderate income families received discounted baskets across all 3 basket seasons. A total of 58 basket shares were distributed to snap/wic and low to moderate income families.

Garden kits each spring, we give garden kits to families who want to grow their own edible garden at home. These kits typically include: starter plants and seeds; gardening tools, like tomato cages; and a garden plan with planting and harvesting tips. 20 snap/wic families received free garden kits in 2024. Gleaning project at the end of each growing season, we partner with local farmers to glean leftover produce from their fields. All the fresh produce collected is donated so it can be shared with local food banks and pantries, including the little free pantry network.
