“Gold house is the leading cultural ecosystem that unites, invests in, and champions asian pacific leaders to power tomorrow for all. As a non-profit collective of diverse leaders, we forge meaningful relationships and build programs to advance asian pacific cultures and propel all communities to have more authentic, more successful, and healthier lives.”
“We operate several programs online and in los angeles, new york city, and san francisco. We currently do not have any physical offices outside of using co-working space across los angeles and new york city. We do not own any significant physical property. Our team consists of a mix of passionate full-time staff and part-time volunteers (30-60 at any given time). Our full time staff grew to 21 as of the end of 2024. Below are descriptions of our programs and operations. Unity & solidarity through membership programs and platforms, we foster a culture of mutual support among established, emerging, and community leaders. Our programs powering unity include the following: -family dinners are intimate gatherings of approximately 30 top leaders across generations and industries anchored in celebrating asian pacific cultures. These working dinners are focused on solving an important issue for our community, channeling the room's expertise and resources to uplift the asian pacific diaspora and cultures. We host about 10 family dinners a year. -cultural celebrations of asian pacific heritage and holidays, including lunar new year, eid al-fitr, mid-autumn festival, and diwali. Gold house hosts a variety of events and campaigns each year to celebrate these cultural moments and share their traditions with people from all backgrounds. -gold forum is the definitive think-tank event convening top leaders across industries to hone shared resources, identify collaborations, and align on collective priorities to uplift the broader asian pacific and marginalized communities. We host this full-day summit each fall in new york city. -the futures network is the largest network of the most-promising creative artists, founders, and leaders advancing asian pacific cultures and communities. We host a variety of programs and events to help propel the careers of these future changemakers, including special prizes, accelerators, masterclasses, community gatherings, and other resources for founders, fine artists, journalists, filmmakers, and music artists. -gold women includes programs and events that power the foremost female executives to claim and sustain leadership through connection and advancement, all the while uplifting asian pacific cultures and communities - essential given that asian women are the least likely demographic to be promoted to management. Narrative change through a comprehensive suite of research, education, promotion, and resources, we reshape public perceptions and dismantle stereotypes about the asian pacific diaspora while advancing asian pacific cultures, heritage, and stories with all audiences. Our narrative change programs include the following: -cultural research, where gold house partners with leading academic, commercial, and other non-profit institutions on original studies and thought leadership to advance asian pacific representation across industries. Examples include reports on missed opportunities by not investing in asian pacific stories and creatives and the importance of cultural specificity in asian pacific representation on-screen. We co- author the reports and host events and campaigns to promote their findings. -cultural education & guidance, where gold house partners with leading studios and creatives through the entire lifecycle of a project to ensure cultural authenticity and affirming portrayal of asians and pacific islanders. -community promotion, where gold house mobilizes the community to champion the success of authentic and affirming asian pacific-led films and series. Through community events, screenings, conversations, panels, and campaigns, we work to ensure the success of marginalized stories to reshape public perceptions with broader audiences. Examples include breaking box-office records with films like crazy rich asians and making awards history with films like parasite and everything everywhere all at once. -creative equity fund includes a slate of accelerators and funds to support stories fu”
