THE ATTIC

Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4A

Community engagement and collective impact made up of community driven foster care and wtt collective impact. Led west texas together, a collaborative initiative uniting regional partners to transform child welfare services across 30 counties in west texas. Program achievements included implementing trauma-informed training, establishing healthcare access partnerships, and initiating planning for specialized services. Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4D

Direct assistance and crisis response made up of the attic, fhwtx, foster friendly workplace, general, pb giving tree provided direct assistance to children and families in crisis throughout west texas through the attic resource center, permian basin giving tree program and emergency response initiatives. The attic resource center provides year round essentials including beds, car seats, clothing, and supplies to children entering or at risk of entering foster care and operates as a rapid-response hub for caseworkers and caregivers across west texas. Permian basin giving tree serves children and families through a holiday assistance program, distributing toys and gifts and clothing.

Form 990, Part XI, Line 9

Acquisition of the attic foster network 408,088 on september 1, 2024, one accord for kids combined its operations with the attic foster network (tafn) through a strategic merger designed to strengthen child welfare services in west texas. This combination was completed to achieve several key objectives: strategic purpose: -consolidate complementary programs serving the same geographic area and population -eliminate service gaps and reduce duplication of efforts -create a more comprehensive continuum of care for children and families -strengthen organizational capacity and sustainability through combined resources operational impact: under the formal agreement and plan of merger, one accord for kids assumed all assets, liabilities, and operations of tafn while maintaining its corporate identity and tax-exempt status. The organization operates under an amended and restated certificate of formation that reflects its expanded mission and capabilities. All tafn employees became employees of one accord for kids with preserved compensation and benefits, ensuring continuity of service delivery. Financial and operational impact: the combination was accounted for as a merger based on the criteria in fasb asc 958-805, wherein the governing bodies of both entities ceded control to a unified governing structure. The carryover method of accounting was used to account for this transaction, which combines the assets, liabilities, and net assets of the merged organizations. The combination was effective on september 1, 2024, and the results of the combined entity's operations are included in these financial statements from that date forward. The merger resulted in a net asset increase of 408,088. This addition strengthens the organization's financial position and operational capacity to serve more children and families in need.

IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt8ACQUISITION OF THE ATTIC FOSTER NETWORK 408,088 ON SEPTEMBER 1, 2024, ONE ACCORD FOR KIDS COMBINED ITS OPERATIONS WITH THE ATTIC FOSTER NETWORK (TAFN) THROUGH A STRATEGIC MERGER DESIGNED TO STRENGTHEN CHILD WELFARE SERVICES IN WEST TEXAS.
