| Discipleship & Leadership Development: Inspired by our work in Benin the church asked us to help. We recruited five families with pre-teens and early teens to plan and conduct a Childrens Outreach similar to the one in Benin. The event intentionally involved children in outreach making it children serving children. This project was completed in Aug 25 the next fiscal year. However the result was that over 50 children from marginalized communities came to the church. American children shared their personal stories and used creative arts music dance and games to connect. This created a safe environment where Trinidadian children felt welcomed and valued. Friendships formed across cultures breaking barriers of fear and mistrust. The local church expressed deep gratitude recognizing this as a strategic way to reach children they had struggled to engage before. | $0 | $7,372 |
| Childrens Outreach: Throughout 2024 we had the privilege of serving nearly 600 children ages 2 to 17 in the village of Anagbo Benin. This community marked by poverty often requires children to work on farms from a young age leaving little room for them to simply enjoy being children. Our outreach takes place twice a month creating a consistent and safe space for children to gather. Each session includes: 1 Games giving children the chance to laugh play and experience joy 2 Discipleship Classes teaching biblical truths and nurturing spiritual growth. 3 Gathering to celebrate 4 Snacks providing sandwiches and drinks a simple but meaningful act of care. Beyond the outreach gatherings we are committed to long-term development through providing school supplies ensuring children have the tools they need to succeed academically. In June we built a new library giving children access to books and resources that open doors to learning and opportunity. | $0 | $5,111 |
| Community Development: Health & Empowerment August 2024 - A team of 5 people including one of our Board members and her husband traveled to serve. Our goal was empowerment and development through health education medical care and volunteer training. A local dermatologist partnered with us strengthening the impact and credibility of the clinic. The health seminar focused on equipping the community with knowledge for healthier living. The medical clinic provided direct care to children and families in need. The volunteer training taught our volunteers how to teach and serve children helping them discover their God-given potential. Over 200 people attended the health seminar. 400+ people came to the clinic where 350 individuals received medical treatment. Many children were treated for skin infections and worm-related issues. The medical team alongside the dermatologist served each person with care and dignity. | $0 | $4,148 |
| Village Library: This June we constructed a small village library and began with 224 books. The library will provide the primary and secondary school students with much needed textbooks. It will also provide our new literate learners reading materials in the Fon language to strengthen their literacy skills. | $0 | $1,456 |
