“Mobilization program purpose: dmfi mobilizes its supporters to engage democratic leaders and members of congress on issues important to pro-israel democrats including the need for hamas to release all the hostages and be dismantled. We contact our members via phone, e-mail, social media, and text to encourage them to engage their representatives, senators and other key voices. Outcomes: members of congress heard from pro-israel democrats on matters that are important to them.”

“Platform education purpose: promoting pro-israel policies requires hard work at all levels, including with state and local parties that promulgate their own resolutions and platforms, endorse candidates and play other significant roles in the process. There has been a concerted effort on the part of several groups and individuals to alter national, state, and local platforms by adopting positions inimical to the us-israel relationship. Dmfi organized to educate leaders and grassroots advocates as to the dangers of these anti-israel changes. We developed talking points, organized delegates and elected officials, and enlisted our activists to engage with their local parties to push back on this effort. Additionally, elected officials for federal office often begin their careers at the state or local level. With this in mind, dmfi has begun to build strategic relationships with elected officials at the state and local level to educate them about the issues that are important to us and to build relationships. Outcome: continued to expand our partnerships with leaders and organizations to connect with state and local electeds. Conducted rapid response outreach to local municipalities that were considering ceasefire resolutions. Defeated efforts to pass anti-israel resolutions in multiple state parties. Ensured a strong pro-israel platform.”
