Expanded adult ged and human services navigator onsite programs moved from monthly to weekly gleaners community food bank distribution host city council district representative neighborhood office continue to incubate kindergarten-third grade start up years for new kipp imani detroit academy. Host a community foods program in the licensed commercial kitchen. Host monthly diaper distributions. Host major holiday food distributions. Organize 35 hours weekly at a managed community clothes closet staffed by volunteers who receive excess clothing and some household and personal items and distributes the items in a dignified, boutique setting. Provide wi-fi coverage to the outer campus to allow residents, families and students free wifi access. Doubled community ev charging access points. Selected as a community resilience hub through national epa community change grant, providing infrastructure and services in the event of disasters, power interruptions or flooding. Enhancements include solar power, heat pump technology, battery storage, generator, and building envelope improvements organize four stormwater management/green infrastructure educational programs, for middle school students, and adults through a workforce development program which resulted in program completions, installations of one additional rain gardens and diversion of flood/storm water from municipal sewage systems. These programs have received statewide and national attention and awards. Certified 45 new storm water specialists added more diverse sources of grant funding for the stormwater management/green infrastructure programs managed the overall facility operations, including researching and reviewing additional long-term energy efficiency programs hosted: election precinct voting site, community meetings, city of detroit functions, senior citizens workshops and gatherings, block clubs, recreation programs, resource fairs, marketplace and family gatherings effectively rented space to: state-licensed childcare, federal head start/early head start program, neighborhood cdc, youth development programs, recreation host art muralling and portraiture programs for youth in conjunction with college for creative studies managed an expanded comprehensive out-of-school time program to include robotics, coding, nature club, art, chess, tutoring and after-school nutrition made capital improvements and preventative maintenance to facility host community water events offer expanded forensics testing host health/wellness programs including healthy cooking, hypertension and pre-diabetes educational programs fostered a network of other community resource centers funding and award recognition hosted high school community service students provided community computer lab hosted monthly educator appreciation days host five youth basketball leagues primarily with a focus on leadership and character development including new program for 4-8 year olds received best in show award in statewide nextcycle organic food recycling program and received stainless steel utensils reducing waste maintained expanded evening and weekend hours, recording 60,000+ visitors annually received volunteer support from a number of organizations
