“The programs provide children and teens a supportive environment where they will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of activities such as sports, gardening, and carpentry. Activities such as these teach children and teens the importance of teamwork, patience, and the value of a good work ethic, along with skills that may be useful throughout their entire lifetime. Other programs include: after-school tutorial to help students with homework assignments as well as assist with planned projects; feeding programs to ensure no participant leaves the organization hungry; and the mentorship program designed to help participants make good choices, develop responsibilities, stimulate curiosity, and provide the necessary tools, skills, and support needed that will enable them to become self-reliant and thrive in their homes, schools, and communities.”
