Altogether, Peyvand's programming in 2024 served over 14000 individuals through in-person and an additional 6900 through print or recorded educational materials. The following were some of the Key 2024 accomplishments: 1-Nowruz Public Exhibits at Libraries: Peyvand curated Nowruz (Persian New Year) installations at 10 King County and Snohomish County libraries. These displays included multilingual educational trifolds, Haft Seen Tables, and hand-on art activities for the youth. Staff feedback noted unprecedented levels of community engagement and appreciation. 2-Film Screenings & Director Talks: Peyvand hosted and/or sponsored six major film screenings followed by Q & A sessions with directors and scholars and an interview with a director. Screenings included award winning feature and documentary films with narratives from Iran, Central Asia and the Middle East at venues like Cinemark Lincoln Square, UW Bothell, and Seattle SIFF cinemas. Topics addressed identity, social justice, women's rights, and the immigrant experience. On average each screening attracted 100-175 attendees. 3-Arts, Music & Literary Events: Peyvand hosted and/or sponsored a range of community-facing programs including scholarly lectures and artist talks at UW Seattle, three concerts at Seattle Town Hall. Our public gallery exhibits, workshops, and festival participation brought visibility to local immigrant artists Community Impact: Our first stage in youth empowerment is cultural representation; bringing the arts and culture from immigrant communities into public spaces. This builds cultural capital, instills pride, and fosters inclusion. Through our arts programming the youth see their heritage reflected and celebrated. As we deepen our relationships with the schools, libraries and community partners, we are forming more youth-specific programs such as our Iranian Dance summer camp, visual art workshops and a film-making camp planned for 2026. Financial literacy and other initiatives are also in development. Peyvand provided meaningful engagement for underrepresented immigrant populations, particularly youth and seniors, by ensuring low-barrier access to arts and heritage education. | $0 | $22,359 |

Disclosure of In-Kind Services and Goods Peyvand nonprofit organization operated without any paid staff during the 2024 tax year. All executive, administrative, programmatic and technical tasks were carried out by unpaid volunteers, board members, and collaborating professionals. Although these donated services and goods are not reflected in the cash-based financials reported on Form 990-EZ, they significantly expanded the organization's operational capacity. In 2024 the cost of program delivery and operations exceeded $239,000 mostly covered by over 2500 hours of generous In-Kind Services and Goods. These details are provided to illustrate the full scope of Peyvand's operations. |

| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 3 | Peyvand (Persian for Union) is a nonprofit organization working at the intersection of culture, identity and belonging. We build bridges across communities in the Greater Seattle area through inclusive arts and cultural engagement rooted in Iranian, Central Asia and Middle Eastern (SWANA) traditions. We foster community building and encourage cross-cultural understanding through arts with a special focus on underrepresented immigrant and multicultural youth and their families. By creating inclusive spaces we celebrate heritage and empower participants through arts programming, including storytelling, arts & culture exhibitions, and educational workshops. Our programs provide youth with opportunities for creative expression, identity affirmation and community engagement. Peyvand's mission is to help the underrepresented youth and their families realize their potential through community building, education opportunities and enrichment resources. In 2024 Peyvand held and/or sponsored 42 public programs in collaboration with schools, libraries, festivals, galleries and other community partners across King and Snohomish counties. 72% of the events were free to the public in addition to discounted tickets offered to ensure accessibility. 3-Arts, Music & Literary Events: Peyvan hosted and/or sponsored a range of community-facing programs including scholarly lectures and artist talks at UW Seattle, three concerts at Seattle Town Hall. |
