Mindful Hospitality and Earth Education- We are providing space for individuals and groups to escape from the business of daily life and for reconnecting with the natural rhythms of the earth the natural cycles of the seasons and with the importance of the Earth as our only home with inspiration from Pope Franciss encyclical Laudato Si. We have served approximately people 1100 helping to raise peoples awareness of the health and environmental crises currently faced on the Earth as well as other large-scale life and the ways in which individuals can contribute to systemic change as well as to moving from sustainability to regenerative approaches to health wellness food and planetary well-being.$0$0
Permaculture Initiatives & Soil Health - Our permaculture initiative takes a long-term approach to food security and provides the knowledge and experience necessary for individuals to learn how to grow their own food and to handle climate change in more effective ways. This program supported 32 volunteers and 20 interns at various points over the year helping to train individuals in different aspects of our permaculture program. We are creating a long-term food forest as well as using intensive European row techniques to create healthy soil and healthy food in regenerative cycles. To that effect we began our own compost and program began to plant our food forest and expanded our gardens. Also included in this program is an educational aspect to support people of all ages but in particular youth to understand the importance of good food for long-term health and well-being and to help them become more adept at identifying and enjoying that which will serve the long term well-being.$0$0
Food Rescue & Nutritional Justice - We have begun a Food Rescue & Nutritional Justice Initiative in order to help individuals grow more of their own food and reduce the risk of food insecurity hunger and nutritional deficiency in the event that the local environment is threatened. The food rescue and nutritional justice program aims to support healthy delicious food for all members of our community based on reducing the amount of food waste. By taking a permaculture approach we use all our resources effectively and try to minimize the estimated 40% of food in the United States that is wasted. This program impacted approximately 400 people this year and helped cultivate a positive impact on peoples lives in the community and beyond.$0$0
