| RESEARCH FUNDING IT IS THE HOPE OF THE FOUNDATION THAT WE WILL BE ABLE TO SUPPORT RESEARCHERS AND ORGANIZATIONS LOOKING TO FIND ALTERNATIVES TO THE CHEMOTHERAPY TREATMENT PEGASPARGASE AS WELL AS OTHER TREATMENTS FOR ACUTE LYMPHOBLASTIC LEUKEMIA (ALL). WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR ORGANIZATIONS, DEPARTMENTS, AND RESEARCHERS TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE EACH CALENDAR YEAR WITH THE EXPECTATION THAT THEY ARE WORKING ON TREATMENT PLANS OR CLINICAL TRIALS TO PROVIDE ALTERNATIVES TO TREATMENTS THAT LEAVE THE PATIENT WITH NO IMMUNE SYSTEM AND NO ABILITY TO FIGHT POTENTIAL INFECTIONS. RESEARCH GRANTS WILL BE MADE TO HOSPITALS, INSTITUTIONS, OR ORGANIZATIONS THAT ARE WORKING ON ALTERNATIVE TREATMENTS OR RUNNING CLINICAL TRIALS TO SUPPORT LEUKEMIA PATIENTS WITHOUT COMPLETELY COMPROMISING THEIR IMMUNE SYSTEMS. THE GOAL WILL BE FOR EACH OF THESE GRANTS TO BE AT LEAST 15,000. A GRANT APPLICATION WILL BE REQUIRED. SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM IT IS THE INTENTION OF THE FOUNDATION TO PROVIDE 3 ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIPS HONORING JORDYN MYERS, BEGINNING IN 2020. ONE WILL BE AWARDED TO A HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL PLAYER, ONE WILL BE AWARDED TO A GIRL WHO PLANS TO STUDY ENGINEERING AT A HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION, AND ONE WILL BE AWARDED TO A LEUKEMIA SURVIVOR. APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED FROM FEBRUARY 17 - APRIL 11 AND WILL BE AWARDED BY MAY 1. SCHOLARSHIPS: THE STUDENT ATHLETE SCHOLARSHIP AND ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP WILL BE PAID TO THE UNIVERSITY DIRECTLY 2500 PER SEMESTER FOR THE FIRST TWO CONSECUTIVE ENROLLED SEMESTERS. THE SURVIVOR SCHOLARSHIP WILL BE PAID IN FULL, 5000, TO THE UNIVERSITY DIRECTLY AT THE START OF THE FIRST ENROLLED SEMESTER. (1) STUDENT ATHLETE (WHO PLAYED FOR THEIR HIGH SCHOOL AND/OR WHO HAVE BEEN OFFERED A SPOT ON A COLLEGE TEAM) WILL RECEIVE 5,000. (1) FEMALE STUDENT, INTENDING TO PURSUE AN EDUCATION IN ENGINEERING WILL RECEIVE 5,000. (1) LEUKEMIA SURVIVOR (MALE OR FEMALE WHO IS 5 YEARS OR MORE POST REMISSION) WILL RECEIVE (1) LUMP SUM OF 5,000 AT THE START OF THEIR FIRST ENROLLED SEMESTER. THE AMOUNT OF EACH SCHOLARSHIP MAY VARY AND WILL BE DETERMINED BASED ON THE FUNDRAISING FROM THE PREVIOUS YEAR AND WILL BE ANNOUNCED BY OCTOBER 10 OF THE PREVIOUS YEAR. FAMILY SUPPORT ?WATCHING YOUR CHILD FIGHT CANCER IS ONE OF THE HARDEST THINGS A PARENT WILL EVER GO THROUGH. FACING THE TIME OFF OF WORK, THE RECURRING TRIPS TO THE HOSPITAL OR CLINIC, THE MOUNTING HOSPITAL BILLS, AND THE CHILDCARE ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE OTHER CHILDREN CAN BE DAUNTING AND OVERWHELMING. YOU THINK IT COULDN'T GET MUCH WORSE... THEN THE VISITS STOP AND THE EMPTY ROOM BECOMES THE LOUDEST THING IN YOUR HOUSE. GOING TO WORK OR PAYING THE BILLS BEGINS TO FEEL LIKE AN IMPOSSIBLE TASK. THE RESOURCES AVAILABLE ONCE YOUR CHILD IS GONE SEEM TO DISAPPEAR ALONGSIDE YOUR HOPE THAT YOU WILL WATCH YOUR CHILD GET WELL AGAIN. IT IS OUR INTENTION TO FIND WAYS TO SUPPORT FAMILIES AT THIS TIME WHEN OTHER RESOURCES BECOME SCARCE. FAMILY DONATIONS WILL BE MADE TO FAMILIES WHO LOSE THEIR CHILDREN TO LEUKEMIA, THE TREATMENT OF LEUKEMIA, OR THE TREATMENT OF ANOTHER CHILDHOOD CANCER. THE GOAL WILL BE TO OFFER UP TO 1,000 DONATIONS TO EACH FAMILY. “Research funding it is the hope of the foundation that we will be able to support researchers and organizations looking to find alternatives to the chemotherapy treatment pegaspargase as well as other treatments for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (all). Campaigns ?examples of 33 jordynstrong campaigns are: fuzzy sock drives - collecting fuzzy socks for local hospital patients, clinic patients, and their siblings. Donations will be accepted to purchase additional socks to achieve the goal of 1,000 pairs per campaign gift card drives - collecting gift cards for families undergoing treatment (inpatient or outpatient) or who have lost their child during their treatment or as a result of leukemia. Donation will be accepted to purchase additional gift cards to achieve the goal of 2,500 in gift cards per campaign. Goal would be that each gift card is worth 15 - 50. Book drive - collecting new and used books for oncology floors/wings at children's hospitals. Donations will be accepted to purchase additional books to achieve the goal of 1,000 books (various age levels from picture books to chapter books to ya novels to classic”

CAMPAIGNS ?EXAMPLES OF 33 JORDYNSTRONG CAMPAIGNS ARE: FUZZY SOCK DRIVES - COLLECTING FUZZY SOCKS FOR LOCAL HOSPITAL PATIENTS, CLINIC PATIENTS, AND THEIR SIBLINGS.
