“The purpose of the nevada society for dermatology and dermatologic surgey shall be to promote the educational and professional interests of dermatologists and dermatologic surgeons in the state of nevada; to provide a vehicle for advocacy and public educational efforts on behalf of dermatologists, dermatologic surgeons, and their patients; and to address socioeconomic issues that impact the practice of dermatology and dermatologic surgery in the state of nevada.”

“The nsdds came up with a strategic plan to start new virtual educational meetings for members. The nsdds would invite 3-4 guest speakers to present on a relevant dermatology topic that will be impactful for physicians to practice medicine and provide quality outcomes. We have been working to increase the nsdds membership and engagement after covid. We want to bridge the gap between northern and southern nevada by increasing community involvement. We are working on partnership with the nevada cancer coalition to provide physician and student voulnteers in the sun smart program, skin check clinics, and sunsafety events around the state.”
