Part III response or note to any other line in Part III

The purposes of the Corporation are exclusively charitable within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Code. Specifically, the Corporation is organized to and will be operated to provide home repairs to people in need such as those who are handicapped or disabled, the elderly, single parents with children living at home, veterans and the economically disadvantaged. The Corporation will also strive to develop philanthropic values in the community and help to define and address the communitys greatest needs directly or by connecting people to other nonprofit organizations that provide the necessary services or assistance. In furtherance of its charitable mission, the Corporation is planning to engage in the following activities: The Corporations Specific Activities: Resources and programs shall include, but not be limited to sponsorships, educational workshops and presentations, community partnerships and fundraising activities. The primary components of the Corporations activities are (i) planning and development, (ii) home repairs, (iii) promotion of philanthropic values and (iiii) connecting people to services.oPlanning and Development: Successful engagement of cities and the groups within a community requires a lot of relationship cultivation. The Corporation studies an areas demographics in order to develop a plan to recruit enough reliable volunteers to support the desired projects. The Corporation will be doing presentations wherever people may be interested in hearing about our programs. These groups may include city councils, code enforcement departments, Kiwanis, Rotary clubs, Lions clubs, realtor associations and companies who may be interested in engaging in the community. In addition, the corporation will speak to contractors, builders and suppliers for donated or discounted services, and seek food donations to provide lunch to volunteers. At the same time the corporation will develop a base of workers and unpaid volunteers and train volunteer leaders in each city or town where the renovations are being done.oHome Repairs: The Corporation will provide home repairs to people in need including handicapped persons, the elderly, single parents with children living at home, veterans and the elderly. Those wishing to receive the home repairs will submit an application that will be reviewed by a city committee. Once and application is approved, the Corporation will evaluate the project and develop a scope of work and reach out to the local organizations who have expressed in interest in our mission. Local professionals will handle services that are not suited to the average volunteer or that may require licensed trades. Once the skilled labor is complete, volunteers will typically work for two days doing painting, some exterior faade repairs and general yard clean-up.oPromotion of Philanthropic Values: While providing the home repair services, the Corporation will show local groups what philanthropic actions look like. We will provide further education about the importance to their families and communities in making their hometown a better place to live. We can show that those who live as givers are much more fulfilled and healthier. The Corporation will provide trainings on these topics to schools, businesses, and any other groups who want to listen and learn more about our activities.oConnecting People to Services: The Corporation will bring together many local non-profits, service organizations and social service agencies to work on creating common goals and common language across those entities to make a collective impact in the area. The more these service providers know about each other, the more overlap that can be eliminated.
