Empower the underserved, Inspire future healthcare leaders, Transform Auroras health.a.We provide patient centered care to meet the needs of the diverse underserved population of Aurora.b.We collaborate with community partners to overcome socioeconomic and cultural barriers to patient health and wellness.c.We cultivate passion for underserved healthcare through interprofessional teamwork.d.We ENCOURAGE future providers to become leaders who are proponents for change in primary care.

Program Services

DescriptionGrantsExpenses
New programming in FY 2018 includes an expansion of our Tuesday night clinical care to reach an average of more than 20 patient encounters per week. We added additional clinic access for integrated diabetes management on Monday evenings as well as specialty care access for cardiology and womens health on Wednesday evenings. We were able to broaden our volunteer provider base by obtaining umbrella liability coverage through COPIC.DAWNs largest areas of expenses are contracted personnel, clinic supplies, and operations. Our personnel expenses enabled consistent management of our volunteer base of more than 50 physicians and nurse practitioners, more 50 ancillary health professionals practicing pharmacy, dentistry, physical therapy, nursing, and occupational therapy, and more than 350 health professional and pre-professional students. Our clinic supplies enabled us to provide safe, high quality health care to our patients including provision of durable medical equipment and transportation to our clinic. Our operations funding permitted upkeep of our leased facility at 1445 Dayton Street, Aurora, CO 80010, as well as software infrastructure and insurance to sustainably achieve our mission.$66,346-

Changes to Organizing or Governing Documents

The organization made changes to its organizational documents by submitting our articles of incorporation and approving our bylaws as a new 501(c)3 organization. We amended our articles of incorporation one time as we changed our initial EIN to clarify our status as a public charity. We added a DBA as DAWN in addition to our formal name of Dedicated to Auroras Wellness and Needs.
