Over the five year measurement period, more than 10% of the organization's total support was received from public sources, including individuals, small donors and local government grants. Although the organization did not meet the 33 1/3% public support threshold, it continues to operate as a public charity under the facts and circumstances test. Acceptance and Change for Health serves as a broad charitable class within the community by mental health services to underserved individuals. The organization actively solicits contributions from the public through fundraising events, email campaigns, and partnerships with local businesses. It also applies for grants from local and state government entities and receives support from other charitable organizations. The organization's board of directors is composed of individuals from diverse backgrounds who reside in the community and are not related or financially connected.
