Somos accion lobbies on issues and policies that impact the common good and welfare of low-income immigrants, workers, and voters. Voter education: somos accion raises issue awareness among voters by providing information on ballot initiatives, legislation, voting records of elected officials, and candidate platforms regarding employment rights, civil rights, human rights, voting protections, economic development and jobs. Nonpartisan voter registration and voter engagement: somos accion registers and contacts voters, and provides voters with information on how and where to vote. Policy development program: staff and leaders engage in legal research activities, internal policy convenings, and strategy meetings with allied organizations to develop state and local policy proposals that advance immigrant and low-wage workers' rights.”
