“The entity is a non-profit organization of lawyers dedicated to upholding and defending the constitution of the united states and florida. The primary purpose is to advance the cause of legal education and promote good fellowship and mutual acquaintance for alumni of tampa catholic high school in tampa, florida. These goals are achieved by providing forums for mentorship, support, and loyalty among legal professionals who started their careers with the education they received at tampa catholic high school. The association will come in the form of religious fellowship, community outreach, professional networking, student training, consultation, and representation. Activities will occur at various locations in the tampa bay area, including tampa catholic high school or various community venues based on function. Only members in good standing with the florida bar, are of good moral character, have paid the established dues for membership, comply with the criteria contained in the provisions of the articles of incorporation and bylaws, and are graduates of tampa catholic high school or its affiliates will be conducting each identified action. As of means of achieving its goal, the association provides: continuing legal education sessions every other month by leaders in the field on timely issues. The inaugural session was hosted by board certified civil trial attorney, nadine diaz. Listening to leaders in the field on timely issues, engaging in lively debate, and discussing with peers in an area of expertise are the activities during the continuing legal education sessions. One of the legal education sessions recently provided was a power lunch on september 20, 2018 presented by attorney kim kohn on nursing home abuse matters. The session provided the members with useful information as well as time for discussion with peers.”
