“FPEF administered two grant cycles (spring and fall) which resulted in funding 17 grants totaling $11,637. The funds were used to purchase items which were gifted to the Florham Park public school district. For grades K - 2 purchases included Sound wall package, plushies, sensory mats, Teepee Tent, storage units, decoder books, and teaching stations. Purchases for grades 3 to 5 included Correl markerboard, chair leg protectors, Native American book series, Flex space floor seats, Book stand, rocker chairs, inflatable chairs, chair bands, kidney table, Peak relational training system, and Breakout kit with annual subscription, For grades 6-8 we purchased a Story of America book set with instructional support, Stackable stools, Collapsable stools, Rolling Whiteboard table, Magnetic whiteboards and strips, Blick sketch pad boards, and a cobra volleyball net system. A student grant of $1,000 was awarded to a 7th grader for winning a grant application. The funds were used to purchase Soundtrap to enhance the music curriculum grades 6-8. In addition scholarships were presented to two graduating 8th grade students who demonstrated civic leadership for $50. The Community Care program was established during covid to provide financial assistance to families with children enrolled in the school grade k-8 that face financial hardship. In 2024 $500 was donated in gift cards and holiday baskets for enrolled families. Other services provided include referral and resources for emergency housing, food pantries, medical support, free after school activities and tutoring support.”

Grants totaled $11,637. 2. The student grant was awarded to a 7th grader for winning a grant application. The grant was used to purchase Soundtrap for grades 6-8. The total funding was $1,050 including scholarship to two graduating 8th grade students. 3. The Community Care Program donated gift cards and holiday gift baskets for $500 to families with children in the district facing financial hardship. In Kind services were also provided from donations, restaurants and grocery stores.”

“Program service expenses consist of gift cards for $75 donated to three teachers from each school through random draw as an appreciation for participating in the grant process.”
