“All board members review a digital copy of the tax forms and appropriate supporting documents. Upon completion of review, all board members vote to either submit or correct the 990. This continues until all board members vote yes to submit.”

“Upon joining, all fee-based members receive copies of and sign indicating their agreement to our policies and guidelines. Our 990 and all governing documents are emailed to anyone who requests it. We do not have a website yet, but we are in the process of exploring our options to create one at no-cost or low-cost to keep our operating expenses minimal.”

“Grants and scholarships for a variety of dance-education related purposes were paid out in fiscal year 2024. These scholarships and grants totaled $76,071.00 and served a variety of purposes from performance scholarships, dance education grants, choreography grants and scholarships, dance educator DE&I training, purchase of dance equipment for public school dancers, and more. We issued an additional amount of $11,559.00 of grants that were not cashed prior to the close of the fiscal year and will be counted in our next filing due to our method of accounting. Of the remaining funds for the organization for the next fiscal year over $39,000 is already allocated to a variety of community grants and scholarships for the first fiscal quarter; some have been paid as of this filing and other planned scholarships will be realized in the 2026 fiscal year.”

“With regard to other expenses, these include training for volunteers required to participate in fundraising activities (ie Bingo License and Manager Certificate Fees of over $200, over $1,000 for insurance, as well as additional costs for bank fees, state filing fees, supplies, general operating expenses, rental of our mailbox, QuickBooks, and other information technology and file management tool utilization fees.”

“In accordance with the IRS rules, we give any individual who wins over $1,200 in bingo a W-2G on the spot. We will file our 2025 W-2G forms no later than March 2nd for paper and March 31st 2026 according to the IRS deadline.”
