Resettlement for refugees, domestic violence/trafficking survivors and homeless families. In Chicago and Chicagoland. (Resettlement = Provide basics like furniture, household goods, hygiene/cleaning supplies, groceries, etc.) Remote Skill development classes and budget laptops/printers for resettlement clients post resettlement Mobile homeless distributions for unhoused individuals on the streets or outside shelters on the south and west sides of Chicago https://humrelief.org/our-programs/
https://humrelief.org/we-are-humanity-relief/ Humanity Relief is a not-for-profit organization that does citywide resettlements for refugees, survivors of domestic violence and survivors of human/sex trafficking. The reason we focus on them is because they lack the resources to strive towards upwards mobility and although housing is their most immediate need, we provide everything a home needs and continue to assist them with the resources and skills they need to achieve their goal of stability. Most of our clients are unemployed since they are exiting local shelter programs or they've recently entered the United States. Humanity Relief operates citywide, including the south and west sides of Chicago. We also do mobile care package and food distributions for the homeless.

“Our In-Kind Gift's program received an estimated $71,000 in donations like beds, sofas, household goods, clothes, shoes, hygiene items, food, laptops, printers, tables, dishware, kitchen/household/baby appliances, etc. Tax-deductible receipts were provided to all donors except those who refused them. Our In-Kind Gift's program is our most popular program. We pick-up donations in our cargo van and directly drop them off to the families of refugees and domestic violence/trafficking survivors we are resettling. We also distribute smaller items to the homeless at shelters and asylum seekers at police stations every Saturday at noon. The $71,000 from our In-Kind Gift's program should be combined with our program expenditure of $15,000 TOTALING $86,000 AS PROGRAM EXPENSES. The $15,000 that was spent on our Hunger Relief, Skill Development and In-Kind Gift's program was done to obtain items we did not have in storage and needed immediately such as groceries, budget laptops, boxed mattresses, female hygiene items, etc. We try our best to obtain donations for free but that does not always work out, especially since we are resettling a minimum of four families a week and holding mobile distributions.”
