“Teton Raptor Center purchased the 27-acre Hardeman Barns property in April 2017 to create a permanent home for raptor conservation. In spring 2018, the Teton County Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved TRCs proposed plans for site restoration and facility improvements. These milestones launched a major capital campaign to renovate historic buildings and construct new facilities to support the future of raptor conservation - including a new clinic, flight barn, raptor mews, employee housing, and a headquarters building. These improved facilities now enable TRC to deliver expanded educational programs, conduct more collaborative and innovative research, and provide the highest standard of care in raptor rehabilitation. In FY 2024-25, Teton Raptor Center received $185,000 in pledge payments as restricted contributions toward capital improvements. To date, key improvements include: connection to the Wilson Sewer system and removal of the outdated septic field; burial of hazardous overhead power lines, installation of upgraded domestic water lines, a high capacity well, and an on-site fire hydrant,and the completion of a new facilities support building. The iconic Hardeman Barn was placed on a new foundation in September 2019 and opened to the public in June 2023 following its full restoration. As of FY 2024-25,all capital facilities are complete. These include: the education mews, rehabilitation clinic, and flight barn; two employee housing units; the headquarters building; the relocated and renovated Pump House and raptor rehabilitation mews,a small stewardship equipment shed: and the newly restored Horse Barn, now the Conservation Barn; and the new Solar Pavilion.”

In FY 2024-25, with support from our avian ambassadors and a dedicated team of volunteers, TRC staff delivered 410 programs- 292 on-site and 118 off-site-reaching a total of 17,458 participants. |

The research team also invested in developing the next generation of ecologists by actively supporting three graduate students. Key initatives included: developing a statewide conservation planning tool for Golden Eagles and Ferruginous Hawks in Wyoming; habitat modeling for multiple raptor species across seasons; and construction of artificial nest structures for Golden Eagles in the Great Plains and Ferruginous Hawks in western Wyoming. TRC also led major field studies in the Bighorn Basin and Converse County to examine the effects of human disturbance on raptor nesting success. The team published several peer-reviewed journal articles this year, including studies focused on Ferruginous Hawks, Great Gray Owls, and Golden Eagles. |

| IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy3Grp/Desc | 0 | REHABILITATION: Teton Raptor Center provides rescue, emergency medical treatment, and rehabilitative care to injured, ill, and orphaned birds of prey with the goal of returning them to the wild. As one of only two facilities in Wyoming offering this level of specialized care for raptors, TRC plays a critical role in regional rehabilitation. In FY 2024-25, TRC admitted 241 avian patients, including 203 raptors from 23 species across Wyoming and Idaho. The clinic also treated 25 corvids and provided short-term stabilization for 13 other birds (representing 9 different species). The leading causes of admission included vehicle collisions, window strikes, and gunshot wounds. Great Horned Owls were the most frequently admitted species, with 51 individuals treated. TRCs medical clinic also serves as a training ground for emerging pro- fessionals, hosting several pre-veterinary interns and veterinary externs over the course of the year. In collaboration with our primary veterinarians and medical advisors, TRC continues to advance treatment protocols and rehabilitation techniques to improve outcomes for every patient in our care. |
