The mission of Pharmacy of Grace is to improve access to prescription medication for uninsured and underinsured individuals and to increase the number of prescription medications available to vulnerable populations in Kansas.
The mission of Pharmacy of Grace is to improve access to prescription drugs for uninsured and underinsured individuals and to increase the number of prescription drugs available to vulnerable populations in Kansas. This improved access will help Pharmacy of Grace break the cycle of homelessness, poverty, school absentee days, and unemployment caused by unmanaged medical conditions. Many medical conditions (such as hypertension, diabetes, congestive heart failure, asthma, COPD, Bi-Polar, and migraines) often go unmanaged, which eventually causes people to seek costly medical care and emergency hospitalization. Pharmacy of Grace will serve all people, regardless of age, race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, religion, disability or sexual orientation, to have affordable and sustainable access to prescription medications and pharmacy services that optimize health in our community.

| IRS990/Desc | 0 | POG has served patients whose primary language is not English including: Arabic, Burmese, Somali, Spanish, Chinese, Nepali, and Swahili. Patients come from many countries with 26% of the population speaking a second language and 13.5% speaking English less than "very well". POG offers Propio Interpretation Services for consultation in the patients' language of choice, which provides linguistic and culturally responsive services. Prescription labels can be printed in 100 different languages which helps improve adherence. POG is partnering with Mercy and Truth Medical Missions as their 340B contract pharmacy. The program allows the 340B qualified clinics to purchase prescription drugs for deeply discounted prices to support patient care. One ongoing accomplishment for the 2.5 year-old charitable pharmacy is the continued growth in serving low-income patients. Of the 19,486 prescriptions filled, 73% were for patients 300% below FPL. Patients at 100% and below FPL grew from 53% in 2023 to 64% in 2024. The ScriptPro CRS 225 pharmacy robot added in 4th quarter 2023 continues to accurately fill 150 prescriptions an hour or 1200 prescriptions in one workday, increasing the speed of prescription fulfilment. The pharmacy robot separates and manages multiple inventories with perfect accuracy. A new immunization education and counseling program led by a pharmacist was added in 2024 to improve vaccine numbers in the community served. 444 vaccinations were provided to 342 unique patients in the clinic and at community events, the majority being below 300% FPL and uninsured. |
