| ReasonableCauseExplanation/ExplanationTxt | 0 | I Isatou Sarr the President and volunteer accountant of Giving Back to The Gambia Charity Foundation Inc. respectfully request that any penalties related to the late filing of our Form 990-EZ for the years 2022 and 2023 be abated as the delay was due to reasonable cause beyond our control. In 2022 and 2023 I faced a combination of personal and professional challenges that impacted my ability to file the form on time. As a full-time employee I was also pursuing a degree in accounting while dealing with significant health issues. These personal circumstances severely limited the time and energy available to complete the filing. Furthermore our previous tax service provider New England Accounting and Tax LLC informed us that due to increased responsibilities and staffing constraints they could no longer assist us with the filing. Unfortunately our organization does not have the financial resources to hire external accounting services and as a result I had to manage the accounting duties on my own. Despite these challenges I continued working on the accounts and after further research I determined that I could complete and file the Form 990-EZ myself given my background in accounting and current education. I have now successfully filed the form. We are committed to ensuring that future filings are completed on time and I apologize for the delay and any potential inconvenience it may have caused. Thank you for your understanding and consideration of this request. |
