Mission

Edwin's place continues breaking ground's commitment to sustainable development. Edwin's place will be a refuge for a diverse community of new yorkers for families, individuals, and veterans. As brownsville continues to develop, edwin's want to ensure that it remains affordable for low and extremely low-income households - that we make room for people from all walks of life, that we are a community who welcomes our most vulnerable neighbors and helps them thrive.

PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENT 1EDWIN'S PLACE WILL BRING 125 NEW APARTMENTS FOR HOMELESS AND LOW-INCOME FAMILIES TO BROOKLYN'S UNDERSERVED BROWNSVILLE NEIGHBORHOOD. THE EIGHT-STORY BUILDING WILL PROVIDE 69 ONE-, TWO-, AND THREE-BEDROOM UNITS AS WELL AS 56 STUDIOS. 78 UNITS WILL SERVE FORMERLY HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES, AND 47 UNITS WILL BE SET ASIDE FOR LOW-INCOME RESIDENTS. EDWIN'S PLACE WILL HELP OUR MOST VULNERABLE NEIGHBORS FIND A SAFE, STABLE AFFORDABLE PLACE TO GROW AND THRIVE. THE BALANCE OF 37 UNITS WILL BE HOME TO LOW-INCOME HOUSEHOLDS, PROVIDING AN AFFORDABLE PLACE TO GROW AND THRIVE. EDWIN'S PLACE IS LOOKING FORWARD TO WELCOMING THE FIRST RESIDENTS IN 2021.
