Mission

The St. Michaels Farmers Market (SMFM) is an independent, non-profit, producer-only farmers market, located in the town of St. Michaels on Maryland's Eastern Shore. On Saturday mornings from April through November, we seek to support local farmers, foster community, and provide access to fresh food in Talbot County.

Program Services

DescriptionGrantsExpenses
The St. Michaels Farmers Market supports over 36 vendors and canters to a weekly attendance of more than 550 patrons spanning April through November. Over 17,000 patrons contribution over $250,000 in direct sales t local vendors, all of whom operate within a 100-mile radius of St. Michaels, Maryland. In November a Holiday Market was introduced. The Market's gleaning program resulted in the direct donation of an average of 150 pounds of fresh local products to community food access pantries each week during the market season. In 2023 the market spending of customers doubled utilizing government beard food access programs, distribution a total of $3,830 to food insecure individuals and contributing to the broad community's well being.$0$3,680
