| FISHING TRIPS INITIATIVE: FISHING TRIPS ARE THE NUCLEUS TO WHAT WE DO AND HOW WE ONBOARD FAMILIES TO MISSION FISHIN'. WE PROVIDE CUSTOM CHARTERED TRIPS FOR PEOPLE WHO WOULD OTHERWISE NEVER HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY. THROUGH THIS WE SEE AMAZING THINGS HAPPEN SUCH AS AUTISTIC KIDS SAYING FIRST WORDS, BECOMING MORE SOCIAL, ETC. WE ALSO SERVE TYPICAL SIBLINGS THROUGH CUSTOM TRIPS AS THEY SACRIFICE SO MUCH FOR THEIR FAMILIES WE WANT TO RECEIVE SOMETHING BECAUSE OF THEIR SIBLING NOT LOSE SOMETHING AS THEY ARE TYPICALLY USED TO. THIS LEADS TO LESS RESENTMENT, LESS DEPRESSION, AND OVERALL HIGHER FAMILY MORALE. WE ALSO BLESS PARENTS WITH CUSTOM TRIPS AS THEY OFTEN NEVER HAVE MARGIN OR RESOURCES TO DO THESE THINGS. WE SERVED APPROXIMATELY 120 FAMILIES OR 500 PEOPLE. | - | $49,682 |
| SCHOOLS INITIATIVE: MANY SCHOOLS SERVING THE SPECIAL NEEDS POPULATIONS ARE UNDER RESOURCED AND HAVE LOW STAFF RETENTION, AND FAMILY ANXIETY DUE TO THESE THINGS, PARTICULARLY THE BROWARD COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS. WE BELIEVE THAT RESOURCING THE SCHOOLS, BLESSING THE CARETAKERS OR STAFF, AND CREATING ENVIRONMENTS THAT PARENTS ARE HAPPY TO LEAVE THEIR KIDS IN SERVES MANY PURPOSES. THE KIDS HAVE THE PROPER EQUIPMENT AND ENVIRONMENTS TO LEARN AND THRIVE AT THEIR LEVEL/ABILITY, THE STAFF HAVE THE PROPER ITEMS TO DO THEIR JOB AND ARE BLESSED, WHICH LEADS TO HIGHER MORALE AND LESS TURNOVER. ONE OF THE MOST DAMAGING THINGS FOR KIDS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS IS CHANGE, ESPECIALLY CHANGE TO PEOPLE THEY ARE ATTACHED TO, SO THE LESS TURNOVER WITH STAFF IN THESE FACILITIES, THE LESS MENTAL DURESS FOR THE CHILDREN AND PARENTS. THE PARENTS ALSO CAN LEAVE THEIR KIDS IN A PLACE WHERE THEY KNOW THEY WILL BE PROPERLY TAKEN CARE OF, WHICH GIVES THEM THE PEACE THEY NEED TO GO MAKE A LIVING, ETC. THIS INITIATIVE HAS SERVED APPROXIMATELY 2500 KIDS, FAMILIES, AND STAFF. | - | $34,198 |
| HOLIDAY BLESSING EVENT: WE SELECT 25 FAMILIES WITH SPECIAL NEEDS KIDS AND GET "WISH LISTS" FROM THE SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD AND ANY TYPICAL SIBLINGS, AND THE PARENTS AND WE DO OUR BEST TO PROVIDE THESE AS SORT OF A MINI-MAKE-A- WISH EVENT. EACH FAMILY RECEIVES A GIFT BASKET, A MEAL, AND THEIR "WISH LIST" ITEMS. WE SERVED APPROXIMATELY 100 PEOPLE THROUGH THIS INITIATIVE. | - | $32,298 |

Provide rewarding experiences for caregivers of special needs or disabled children as an appreciation for their services. Provide an experience for foster families that promotes bonding and inclusion. Additionally, in 2020 mission fishin expanded its offering to experiences outside just marine recreation.”
“Fishing trips initiative: fishing trips are the nucleus to what we do and how we onboard families to mission fishin'. We served approximately 120 families or 500 people.”
“Schools initiative: many schools serving the special needs populations are under resourced and have low staff retention, and family anxiety due to these things, particularly the broward county public schools. This initiative has served approximately 2500 kids, families, and staff.”
“Holiday blessing event: we select 25 families with special needs kids and get "wish lists" from the special needs child and any typical siblings, and the parents and we do our best to provide these as sort of a mini-make-a- wish event. Each family receives a gift basket, a meal, and their "wish list" items. We served approximately 100 people through this initiative.”
