| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 3 | From Survivor Memory to Living Teller (Lesaper): Through the Lesaper program, college students and recent graduates (ages 1830) are paired with living Holocaust survivors to conduct interviews and develop testimony-based stories. Students receive training in interviewing survivors, ethical storytelling, historical accuracy, and public presentation. This program is designed to extend the reach of survivor testimony to future generations while preserving historical accuracy and context, as these students promise to be "keepers of memory" for their paired survivors. In 2024 and 2025, 13 students became the keepers of memory for 10 Holocaust survivors. Following their training, student tellers delivered programs reaching more than 500 audience members in locations across the US, including places where few survivors live such as Arkansas. |
