“The ryan home project provides stable housing for our homeless youth in north berwick, berwick, and lebanon maine. Our intent is to help break the cycle of stress and educational failure. We can make the difference in a young person's life.”

“To provide homeless youth safe shelter expeditiously. Students who are referred and identified as homeless and are appropriate for the program will be placed in host families or in the ryan home to immediately stabilize their housing needs and alleviate anxiety and stress. All of the school-aged children/youth that we work with will receive the medical care and support they need for the health challenges they may face. We have hired house parents the home opens october 1, 2019 to help students access services that can lead in a multitude of directions...reunification with their families, independent living, work readiness, college readiness, and everything in between. We seek to provide access to counseling, tutoring, and mentoring services. We will support families engaging in counseling, identifying barriers, reunification action plans being developed and families reuniting under one roof as appropriate. We will also develop and strengthen the knowledge and skill base that rhp sutdents will need to have healthy and secure lives. We will create a plan to transition to the next phase of their lives. Students will leave the rhp with knowledge and skills that will facilitate their access to services that each of them may need (based on their unique profile of preparedness) to become a healthy and contributing member of their family and community. They will develop an understanding of their needs and plan for their futures. To develop a model of serving homeless youth that can be replicated in any town in maine and beyond.”
