| We are a fraternal, patriotic, organization, dedicated to promoting & fostering camaraderie & friendship, derived from our service to the USA with the USAF. We also promote opportunity for members to maintain & strengthen bonds & renew friendships through reunions, public & private media exchanges, & unit history. If notified by the active-duty military unit we supported (it shared our past designation of '10th'), that a member of that unit may be in need of some financial help, we may have provided very limited help if we had the funds to do so. Since our members are spread out across the globe, except for reunions, we cannot meet in the traditional sense. We provide virtual member contact via our website, & through contact via association e-mails, individual member social networks, & through internal programs, such as our flight chief program (FCP), where members could meet in our website forum to discuss issues related to the specific unit/flight to which they were assigned while stationed at one of the worldwide USAF police units that share(d) the designation of '10th'. Our total number of members, on paper, hovers just below 500. As formed initially, there were approximately 25-50 members assigned to each FCP region, roughly along geographical boundaries. Active members in any area were significantly less. We also may publish periodic newsletters, when members have information they wish to share. Our main form of communication to meet our goals is the website forum & various website information pages, which includes such things as military customs & courtesies, historical information about our specific unit/location, along with such information about the supporting military divisions, reunions, special events, or host nation information. Our contact, through e-mails, website, & forum is 24/7/365 continuous, but not necessarily conducted in real time. We conduct quarterly membership meetings, lasting an entire calendar week, where we discuss past, current, & proposed agenda items. Members login to the forum to participate; however, attendance & participation aren't mandatory, & members enter & leave the meetings, the forum, or website whenever they desire, & may or may not participate in a meeting. We do, however, know that they visited. We also provide special activities within these meetings, such as polls, where members may select from a variety of choices on a particular subject, or in some cases, suggest their own. We also provide voting booths, including those to approve financial reports, where members, having discussed the information, may then vote their individual choice, & at which time, the board of directors takes action based on the final membership voting, which becomes a formal matter of record. For those members who cannot attend a meeting routinely, we operated a toll-free number, where members may, if they wish, leave a message for any board of directors officer, or simply leave a generic message. It was not used routinely. During 2020, we observed that member participation from/in active-duty support no longer seemed to interest members, so we did not provide any financial support to our active-duty unit, & continued the process of winding down that part of our programs. Member participation, in general, while never robust at any time, began to drop noticeably. However, of the average of 10-15 members we serviced with each meeting, that number, too, also began to drop, along with member interest in keeping current with dues. All during the year, our most intense activity with remaining active members, was reunion planning. Unfortunately, although 2020 reunion planning was completed, & with a number of members & guests booked to attend, the ramifications of COVID-19 resulted in the reunion being canceled. Also as a result of lack of participation, we terminated our flight chief program. We published no newsletters in 2020, but the activity in the forum, where a large variety of subjects were discussed, was our main focus, & was used daily, along with e-mails & other means of contact to keep members informed, especially using group mailing lists to remind members of upcoming meetings, reunions, voting, & meeting agenda item details. General activity at the website/forum showed approximately 6-10 members, on average, visiting per week. That average number rose to 12-15 per week during meetings or while voting or during polls. Both averages were somewhat higher when we had special events or special subjects to discuss. Meetings conducted during reunions were located physically in the location chosen, with the results of the meeting published in the forum later for review by members who could not attend. Physical membership attendance at reunions was generally greater than quarterly virtual meetings. | $0 | $1,266 |

| ReasonableCauseExplanation/ExplanationTxt | 0 | According to our now-former treasurer, an original paper Form 990-EZ, dated Feb 5, 2021, was mailed. Once we received the IRS notice saying the 2020 return wasn't filed, our now-former treasurer provided a copy to help us resolve this. While preparing this electronic copy, we noticed a few errors on the paper copy, including in the EIN, where the last digit was missing. We assumed since the paper form wasn't posted, it might've been rejected, or lost in transit. However, we have no record of an IRS rejection of the original paper copy. During a recent conversation with Mr. Green, #1004007824, on August 11, 2022, he confirmed no paper form 990 was entered into the IRS system, nor any notes suggesting rejection. Since our organization is in the process of dissolving, we also recently closed our previous USPS mailbox, necessitating an address change. Because there were several errors to correct, an address change, a change from paper to electronic filing, and changes in our treasurer position, Mr. Green suggested we submit the electronic form with the corrected and current information. |
