“The YBFE organization in partnership with Bold Yoga LLC, presents the Youth Sister Circle. In this 4-week program focuses on cultivating a safe space for young girls to bond and share their feelings and emotions about their life and community experiences to encourage a collaborative development of of supportive coping strategies. It will serve two age groups; ages 9-12 and 13-16 in Yards Park in SE, Washington. DC. In the Youth Sister Circle, Bold Yoga will guide the girls in an intense hour of mediation, focused breathing, self-care routines, and intimate conversations about trauma, its influence on our social-emotional health and healing and coping strategies. In the second portion of the session, the girls will participate in the YBFE's 'Know Thyself: Defining SELF Concept" Workshop series. They will study and work towards understanding their own physical and psychological strengths, weaknesses, limitations, and influences to reinforce a positive self-concept to strengthen confidence, self-esteem and sense of worth.”
